Hazel Smokey Eye

The Hazel Smokey Eye is a classic for any young lady with blue eyes like mine, no matter which shade of blue; but can be applied to any eye color when using the corresponding colors.
Brown eyes:purple theme
Blue eyes:hazel theme
Green eyes: blue theme
* in these pictures I am looking down so that you can see my eye lids
My tools: Josie Maran eye pallet and my favorite Sephora double ended eye shadow brush.
Pallet is called "Beautiful Nudes" and can be purchased at Sephora.
* use the fat end of the eye shadow brush for steps 2-5 and the small end for step 7

Step 1: start with clean eyes. Have powder and foundation on them to create an even skin one with the rest of your face without eye make up on.

Step 2: apply the matte nude eye shadow to the upper and lower lids. (Lower right on pallet)

Step 3: apply a nude sheer eye shadow to the upper and lower lids. (Lower left on pallet) this shimmer creates a subtle glow through out the smokey eyes that is immaculate.

Step 4: apply a rosé nude shadow/ light copper nude shadow to the upper lid only. (Top right in pallet)

Step 5: apply a dark crease. (Upper left on pallet) the crease needs to be heavy. It's also okay if it is thick because next you will spread it out.

Step 6: using your index finger, begin to blend the crease to your upper lid around your eye brow. Then using your finger pull the dark crease shadow toward the edge of your brow line to create the dark angle.

Step 7: using the small end of the eye shadow brush, apply the darkest shadow on the pallet (in the middle) along the lash line of the top and bottom lids as to create an "eyeliner line" out of shadow. This gives definition in the eye but isn't thick and over bearing.

Step 8: apply your mascara. For an over all darker look, use black mascara, as I did in the picture. However if you like the lighter softer look, brown mascara looks fabulous as well. Do 2 coats of mascara on the top and bottom.

And now you have a hazel smokey eye that will meet measures every time. Enjoy!
